The belly mower is powered off of a pulley coming from the front. A shaft from the mower connects to the back side of the pulley, which is all in a metal box configuration. Maybe the mower is designed for a set up like this and that may make a difference in rotation. C. The only way you will be able to remove the pump is to remove it by unbolting the front adapter housing that the pump mounts to. As you know, there is not enough room to remove the splines.
